Updating Your Canva Frames

Click on Position

When you first receive your templates, this frame will be the second layer.

Select the Canva frame that looks like torn edges.

Use the handle (6 dots) to drag the frap to the top layer. 

This can be any photo from the photos section of Canva's elements, or any JPG or PNG you upload yourself.

Find a photo to add to your torn edges frame.

Once you've dropped your image into the frame, click Position again.

Select the torn edges Canva frame that you just updated, and drag it back down to the second layer.

This is the frame where you will place your book cover. When you first receive your templates, it will be located just below the torn edges frame.

Repeat these steps with torn opening frame. 

Return to the layers panel by clicking Position. Select the frame you just updated, and drag it back below the torn edges frame.

When you're done adding your cover to the frame, drag the layer back in order again. 

This frame is located just above the background layer in the Layers panel.

If you wish, you can also update the background image.

You can also layer additional elements, such as your author name or book title on top. TIP: If you're struggling to add images on top of your frames, first update your frames, then use the lock function to lock everything into place. Then you'll be able to easily design right on top of your new frame background.
